I enjoyed immensely this classic. This is the first book I read on my Kindle and found a quick and easy reading. Although it was a pretty easy read, there were several sections that are difficult to understand and should be played. While I think some confusion has been made is reading a bit 'difficult. I highly recommend this book to a...  Read more Alice's Adventures in reviews

"Catching Fire" is a great read, collecting only a short time after Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games winners depart the train in District 12.

"Catching Fire" is more mature than the original series. The themes are a bit 'stronger, a little' more vivid picture and emotion deeper and more complex. Violence is Mor...  Read more Catching Fire (The reviews

The cover of this book seems to be your normal, fluffy, history YA Chick-lit. As the old saying, do not judge a book by its cover. The coating can be easy, but the story is heavy and deep. Once you start reading, Jessie, the situation hits you from the get go. It 's only 15, but it is a life lived Hards...  Read more Motorcycles, Sushi & reviews

I finished reading The Hunger Games, and immediately reread. I did not want it to end. I really enjoyed the author's imaginative series, Gregor Overlander, but this story is aimed at readers a bit 'older, and is the only step by Gregor. For LE This is a video about children and fences. The music is James ’s “Can I Hold You Now” from Snow Falling on Cedars. Snow Falling on Cedars is a novel written by American writer David Guterson. Guterson, who at the time was a teacher, wrote the book in the early morning hours over a ten year period. Because of the success of the novel, however, he quit his job and began to write full-time. The novel was published on September 12, 1994, becoming an immediate bestseller and winning 1995’s PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction. Influenced by Harper Lee’s novel To Kill a Mockingbird, Cedars also deals with racism. Cedars was adapted in 1999 into a film that was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Cinematography. Cover of Guterson’s Snow Falling on CedarsDue to the violence and explicit sexuality in the novel, in some markets it was placed on a list of banned books. The book, however, remains a popular novel in English classes at high schools in the United States, Canada, and around the world. Portions of it have appeared several times on the English Literature AP Exam. In New South Wales, Australia, it is part of the HSC syllabus. Some Catholic schools have temporarily removed the book from their shelves because of its sexual nature. Whispers from Children’s Hearts

By Lisa Haisha

Risa Publications (2006)

Reviewed by Irene Watson for Reader Views (3/06)

“There are not seven wonders of the world in the eyes of a child. There

are seven million.” - Walt Streightiff

Streightiff’s quote starts off Lisa Haisha’s book “Whispers from

Children’s Hearts” and I can’t imagine a better way it could have

started. During her travels, Haisha spoke to more than 250 children ages

four through nine from Australia, China, France, Iraq, Peru, Singapore,

and the United States. Her visits took her to schools, orphanages,

hospitals, restaurants, parks and streets. Every child she spoke to was

as different from each other as were their cultures and environment.

Yet, each child has something in common - honesty.

Every little boy wants to grow and become a fireman, interestingly enough, that is so common that children 's book marketers work very hard to produce books and fire engine fireman. These books sell almost as good as the little toy fire into the stores. If you have small boys then you know that, and why you want to dream of their fire and desire early on and think about their future fuel. So, why not buy a children's book> Book to do just that?

The third part of "The " in 1962 by Jiri Trnka Made. Jiří Trnka (24 February 1912, Pilsen - December 30, 1969, Prague) is a Czech puppet maker, illustrator, was motion-picture animator and director, renowned for his stop-motion puppet animation. He studied at the Prague Academy of Arts and Crafts. He created a puppet theater in 1936. This group was dissolved when World War II began, and he designed sets and instead illustrated books for children during the war. After the end of the war, Trnka established an animation unit at the Prague film studio. Trnka now internationally recognized as the world's greatest puppet animator in the traditional Czech method, and he won several distinguished film festivals. One animator called him "the Walt Disney of the East". He won a prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 1946, exactly a year after he began working in film. His films were usually made for an adult audience. Starting in 1948, the Czech communist governmentbegan to subsidize his work, although this does not seem to affect the message or style of his work. He also created cartoons. He wrote the screenplays for most of his films. He died of heart disease in 1969. Trnka's Sci-Fi "The " was a vision of the future where machines and robots are trying to replace in the most beautiful human relationships. A robot should be replaced for the loving grandmother of a little girl. The wise grandmother
